Liza Szabó (1992, Budapest) is a visual artist living and working in the Netherlands. She graduated in 2016, from the Royal Academy of Art the Hague, and works as a freelance photographer ever since. Her main interests lie in communication, psychology, identity, collective memory and she gets inspiration from graphic design, architecture and modern dance. For her staged photographs she builds sets made out of basic materials, often working with paper, wood or household objects. With her series she investigates the question of reality, both in a visual and a psychological sense, mainly focusing on the individual’s perception. With her photographs, she strives to create scenes that combine real-life elements in an unusual context.
